Hello,
are you using a compressor to keep volume at an equal level throughout all songs?
I have the impression that the stream is compressed a little bit too much which results in «pumping» volume in some situations.

For example, the volume is turned up when there's a break in a song and afterwards it is turned down again because the compressor tries to turn up quiet passages and to turn down loud passages of a song.

Turn down compression a little bit could help, but that's just a guess;)

Otherwise I'm satisfied, the quality is great, I like the song selection and the shows:)

Keep up the good work!

Yup , Eraser is right. The volume goes down then up and so on.

Hey guys.....this compressor stuff on the stream kills the master of the mixes.
Sounds like an asshole sometimes...sorry :) but it's the kinda said truth!

What if the DJ-s would try to make their mixes sound as best as they can?
cheers

there is only normalize compressor on to normalize the volume of the track! because many tracks and sets are recorded and mastered with different encoders, they sounds different!

normalize compressor keep up all the tracks and set on one (normalized) volume!

Danyi you are right it keeps but if there's a set with an RMS value of -9 -11 dB and theres an unmastered one with -13 -15dB then a «normalizer» compressor will kill the master of the mastered set and the shitty one (sorry) will sound a bit better.
It's a common issue at some stations.
I think it's 2008 now....we are in the digital ages enough ...a dj who can not care about his/her mixes' quality will sound bad.....and those who care about it and work on it should sound as best they can.

I think the solution would be turning off the compressor when radio shows start and only turning that on when single tracks are on air.

cheers
