Paul Webster![]() Paul Webster burst on to the dance scene in Ireland working his much loved DJ roots with his tough energetic trance style in some of Irelands biggest clubs. This year has seen Paul Webster come to the forefront of the escalating trance scene In Ireland, with both his edgy DJ sets and also production of soaring trance melody tracks. Showcasing his sound on some of Irelands most prominent dance radio stations, Webster’s guests included Judge Jules, Marco V and Sander Van Doorn to name a few. 2006 was his biggest year yet not only as a DJ but also as a Trance producer and remixer. His Debut track «Corruption» was played by all the industry's top ten DJ's including Judge Jules who gave it 'Tried and Tested Tune of the week' on BBC Radio 1 and played it regularly on his show as well as Paul Van Dyk, Eddie Halliwell, Marco V, John O'Callaghan, Sander Van Doorn and Tiesto to name but a few, adding it to their set lists. After his obvious talents were outed, The number 1 DJ in the world, Armin van Buuren, made short time of signing Paul Webster and ..«Corruption..» to his very own label Armada. «Corruption» will be featured on the forthcoming «Live As» CD, recorded by another of Irelands trance front running DJ’s, John O'Callaghan “Live from The Arches.” Following on from this Paul remixed one of his all time favorite tracks from Warrior «If You Want Me» just for his own sets. But with Judge Jules again hearing it, he obtained a copy from Paul and again gave it «Tried and Tested Tune of the Week» on BBC Radio 1 which made Paul one of only a few people ever to obtain two Tried and tested tune of the weeks in such a short space of time. This is due for a release on Incentive/Ministry of Sound in summer 2008 and was on «The Judgment Sunday Ibiza 2007» CD mixed by Judge Jules. Paul currently holds two massive residency's in Ireland for two massive club nights Letrik & Trancelation and in 2007 Paul made his debut for the world renowned Godskitchen with big events in the UK and Ireland along with dates for Planet Love summer session Festival and Judgement Sunday Ibiza Launch Party! Having finished off two new originals tracks called Wavelength/Blindside and with early support from the Eddie Halliwell and Judge Jules these tracks were set to be massive in the summer. 2008 is looking ever brighter for Paul with early dates in for The Coach in Banbridge, The Arches in Glasgow, Absolute in Edinburgh with the highlight being the massive gig that was En-Trance 2008 in Poland playing to a crowd of 10,000! On the production front Paul is busier than ever, «Engaged» which received massive support from Armin, Ferry Corsten , Judge Jules, Paul Van Dyk, Eddie Halliwell and Tiesto who all played it on there Radio shows all in the same week! Now with the double whammy «Nailed /Cut off due out on Armada in August 08 and »Problems« The follow up to Engaged and is due for release Sept/Oct Paul is proving he has the Midas touch in the studio and not only with his own material… He is now making himself one of the most in demand remixers… Having remixed the massive Ayla »Ayla« for his intro at the En-Trance event, asked for copy and now after him hammering it the track looks set for release later on this year, Paul Van Dyk has been playing Websters remix of John Gibbons and Scmion Tist »Beautiful Filth« this since Oct 2007 and was still playing it in June 08, then getting asked to remix Alex Kunnari »Lifter« for Tiesto’s Black Hole recordings his work is speaking for its self… Paul also felt compelled to contribute to Barry Connell’s »Frizzbomb« as a tribute to one of his best friends in the industry, who sadly passed away, (R.I.P mate) »Info:« http://www.paul-webster.com/ http://www.myspace.com/johnpaulwebster »Show:" The Technical Sessions 2nd Tuesday @ 7pm GMT |
